Event Details:
Join Strong Towns Kingsville, a group of engaged citizens dedicated to making Kingsville a nicer place to walk, for a 2.4 km walk through the Woodycrest neighborhood (the streets behind Zehrs). We’ll identify obstacles to walkability to make our streets more pedestrian-friendly! Starting at the park on the corner of Sandybrook Way and Mulberry Crescent, we’ll walk to Applewood Park and back at a conversational pace (about 1 hour). Residents are encouraged to point out obstacles to walkability, and ideas on how to make it better.

Walk leaders will wear high visibility clothing and will practice pedestrian courtesy.

This is a great chance to get fresh air, meet neighbors, and help improve our community. Bring comfortable shoes and your ideas for a more walkable neighborhood! If you have any medical concerns, please consult with your doctor before joining the walk. If the weather is unsuitable (e.g., heavy rain), the event will be canceled, and a notice will be posted on the Strong Towns Kingsville Facebook page.
